The JMCC has the capacity to focus its efforts through the use of working groups which are constituted when a new workstream develops or an issue is identified that justifies closer scrutiny.

The work programmes undertaken within these groups reflect the wide range of issues currently facing the medical profession and the health service. The working groups report to the full committee.
